Kenneth R. Berry Sr., 84, of Mabton passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, surround by his loving family in Yakima.
Kenneth was born April 12, 1928 in Billings, Okla. to Cecil and Goldie (Cook) Berry. Kenneth went to school in Mabton.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was discharged in December of 1948.
On June 9, 1951 Kenneth married the love of his life, Cleone Belieu in Grandview. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2001.
He worked as a millwright for James River Corp. in Sunnyside for 42 years.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, music, poem writing and family gatherings.
Kenneth is survived by a daughter, Frances (Jack) Reser of Kennewick; two sons, Kenneth (Belita) Berry and Frank (Linda) Berry, both of Goldendale; five grandchildren, April, Allen, Missy, Kenneth and Frank; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Roe of Stockton, Calif.; and sister-in-law, Betty Berry of Yakima.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Cleone Berry; his parents, Cecil and Goldie Berry; and siblings, Edward Berry, Cecil Berry Jr., Oletta Wheeler and Don Berry.
Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Mabton Cemetery.
