Sunnyside Washington Elementary School spokesman Linda Ihler has issued a public plea, asking for the community's help.
Ihler said donations of clothing are being sought...clothing of all type. Most needed, though, said Ihler, is donations of pants, because youngsters often need a change of clothing while at school.
To better help accommodate the youngsters, who wear clothing of all different sizes, Ihler said sweat pants are the most practical donation.
"With sweats, they don't have to be the exact clothing size that a child wears," she said.
Ihler added that Washington Elementary School's clothing bin is completely empty at this time. She figures the other elementary schools in Sunnyside are facing the same situation.
Ihler explained that all clothing donations can be dropped off by local residents at the elementary schools during regular school hours.
"Any and all help will be appreciated," she said.
