Following the adage of if at first you don't succeed try again, SVID board members this past Tuesday agreed to lower the price for a parcel it had attempted to previously sell.
The 8.5-acre parcel is on Cantrell Road, near Sunnyside, and was deemed surplus. SVID initially tried to sell the land at $57,750, but there were no takers.
That resulted in this week's action, when the board agreed to put the property back on the market, but for a price of $54,800.
