Sunnyside-based Integrity Driving School will open a new office next month near East Edison Avenue.
That's the result of action taken last night, Monday, by Port of Sunnyside commissioners in approving a one-year lease with the school.
Jay Hester is the port's executive director, and he notes the $250-a-month lease is a win-win.
It's great for the port because a vacant business incubator space at 440 Barnard Boulevard previously leased by Marti's Floral Carte will house the driving school.
Hester notes it's a plus for the driving school, which he says will be the only one between Grandview and Granger to offer written driver exams.
Finally, he adds the new office location will be helpful for high school students taking driving courses because of the business' close proximity to the high school.
The lease takes effect next month.
