Personnel changes OK'd in Grandview

GRANDVIEW - Before approving retirement requests, Grandview School Board Director Tim Grow noted that Patricia Bonnell and Kathy Lewis have been outstanding teachers over the years, and the board agreed they were sad to see them go.

Bonnell, a fifth grade teacher at Smith Elementary School, taught Grandview students for 30 years. Lewis, a McClure Elementary School kindergarten teacher, taught in the district for 25 years.

Both longtime Grandview teachers' requests for retirements were granted by the directors at this past Monday night's school board meeting.

Other personnel changes in the district include Jeremiah Campbell's resignation as a Guided Language Acquisition Design coach.

Harriet Thompson Elementary School assistant cook Wayne Madson, too, requested and was approved a leave of absence.

In addition, Key Club students at Grandview High School asked school board directors for approval to travel to the Pacific Northwest District Key Club Conference in Seattle, slated for March 22. The request was granted.
