OBITUARY

This is a fond memory of Linda Marie Morrow, 62, of Sunnyside passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013, in Sunnyside. She was born June 7, 1951 in Sunnyside to Louise Neilsen-Morrow-LaPierre and Noman Morrow. Linda lived in the small town of Granger, just one block away from the town swimming pool, where she spent most of her summer months. Linda was raised and graduated from Granger High School with the class of 1969. She then went to college studying bookkeeping and auditing. She worked at Yakima Bait Company and then went to work with her mother at Leonardo Truck Lines. She held numerous bookkeeping jobs within the Yakima Valley, some joked she quit more jobs than most people have. From there she moved to Olympia, working at Capital Business. Linda then became caretaker for her mother, and retired from bookkeeping due to MS. She moved back to the Sunnyside area to be with her family. Linda had an amazing quick wit and an unending sense of humor, in which friendships came easily. She had an outstanding bond with her friends throughout her life. She was an adamant animal lover, in which Fritz, her miniature schnauzer, was at her side for 13 years. She loved fishing, camping and going to casinos, reading, cooking and was seldom seen without a book. Linda loved to tell everyone the famous three Linda Marie Morrow's story. She was Linda Marie Morrow #1, because she was the first to enter the family, sister-in-law, Linda Marie Morrow #2, because she was second to enter the family, and sister-in-law, Linda Marie Morrow #3, because of course, she was third to enter the family. To make it easier for all, Linda #1 was Louise's Linda, Linda #2 was Norm's Linda, and Linda #3 was John's Linda. She took great pride that she was always Linda #1. She is survived by her two brothers, Norman (Linda Oswalt) of Sunnyside, and Merrill Dwain-Big John (Linda Becker) of Wenatchee; halfsisters, Lajuana Bridges of Prosser, and Delores Schrump of Yakima; stepsisters-in-laws, Beverly LaPierre and Janice LaPierre; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Neilsen-Morrow-LaPierre and Noman Morrow; stepfather, Kenneth LaPierre; baby brother, Butch Morrow; her sister, Carolyn Morrow; halfsister, Glenna Carlton; stepsister, Dianne LaPierre-Brownlee; stepbrothers, Gary LaPierre and Leo LaPierre; and her infant son, Darin Mark Hartman. At Linda's request no services will be held at this time. The family wishes to thank Lower Valley Hospice and Prestige Care and Rehabilitation for the care they showed our sister. Those wishing to honor Linda's memory may contribute to the Yakima Humane Society. If you would like to sign Linda's on-line memorial book you may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com. Smith Funeral Homes LTD and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
