Sunnyside's Carol Monholland bested the field, twice, in 18-hole ladies play at Black Rock Creek Golf Course this past Tuesday.
Monholland collected five bingos during the round. Tied for second with two bingos apiece were Rae Ann Goin of Prosser, Marlana Williams of Zillah, Rose Fleming of Sunnyside and Delores Dasso of Sunnyside.
Each lady was given a bingo card. The spaces on the card were marked with such items as par, birdie, out-of-bounds, bogey, etc.). As the golfers accomplished each item on the bingo card, they crossed off the squares.
In addition to winning play-of-the-day honors, Monholland shot the low round. She carded a 10-over-par 82.
And, Monholland was one of three golfers Tuesday to claim a birdie. She got her tweeter on the par-3, 17th hole, as did Sunnyside's Patti Hart. The other bird was snared by Fleming, that coming on the par-3, ninth hole.
In tracking the chip-in shots made Tuesday, Monholland accomplished the feat twice, and Carolyn Smith of Sunnyside turned the trick on No. 10.
