Indall leadsBlack Rock Creek to top finish at senior golf event

TOPPENISH - Chris Indall carded the second lowest individual round on the day, powering the Sunnyside-area Black Rock Creek team to a first-place finish at last week's Mid Columbia Senior Golf Association event hosted by Toppenish's Mt. Adams Country Club.

The Toppenish competition was the second stop on the 2013 senior tour.

Coupled with Black Rock Creek's runner-up performance on the opening stop, at Pasco's Sun Willows Golf Course, the Lower Valley squad is now atop the Mid Columbia Senior Golf Association team standings.

Team scores at each event are based on each squad's two best gross scores and six best net scores (actual scores minus handicaps).

Indall toured the Toppenish course last week with a 3-over-par 75. Chris Leman had the second lowest score from Black Rock Creek's golfers...a 79.

The six low net scores from the Black Rock Creek team came from Max Wickham (66), Bud McGuiness (70), Mike Nichols (73), Mike Stegeman (73), Ken Ott (75) and Randy Boast (78).

The next Mid Columbia Senior Golf Association event will be held at Richland's Horn Rapids Golf Course on Wednesday, May 22. Local golfers must sign up in the Black Rock Creek pro shop no later than Monday, May 20.
