Life Skills curriculum adopted

The Sunnyside School Board on Tuesday approved the adoption of the Life Skills curriculum, minus one section that was found to not fit district standards due to potential bias in the materials.

The curriculum, which concentrates on problem solving in social situations, will become part of the health and fitness programs in seventh and eighth grades. The curriculum will also be aligned to the Common Core informational text standards.
