Cops arrest juvenile, find stolen property

GRANDVIEW – Officers in Grandview arrested a juvenile yesterday morning (Sunday) on charges of eluding, suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and a minor consuming alcohol, and are expected to add charges of vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

Just after midnight Sunday an officer attempted to stop a car driving without headlights near West Fourth Street and Grandridge Road. The vehicle fled police and a pursuit ensued. During the chase, the vehicle stopped suddenly and two occupants fled on foot.

Officers captured the driver of the vehicle, who turned out to be a juvenile male. Checking into the ownership of the vehicle revealed that it was stolen. A search of the vehicle turned up items stolen in vehicle prowls. The case is still being investigated by Grandview police.

Officers in Grandview are also investigating a burglary report made yesterday from Brewer Road.

Since last Friday morning Grandview police have also handled two informational calls, six traffic incidents, a report of a juvenile problem, three noise complaints, two automatic alarms, four reports of suspicious activity, two medical calls and a missing person report.

In that time officers also located an abandoned vehicle, conducted a welfare check and provided assistance to another agency.
