Alex Radach


Alex Radach, 91, of Mabton died on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at his home.

He was born Aug. 10, 1922 in Alfred, N.D. to Gottfried and Paulina (Sutnik) Radach.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Radach of Mabton; three children, Bobby Radach of Grandview, Nancy Bateman of Yuma, Ariz. and Linda Ferson of Sunnyside; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gottfried and Paulina Radach; eight brothers; John, Edward, Adolph, Theodoer, Gottfried Jr., Gottfried, Aron and William; five sisters; Emilia, Anna, Esther, Ruth and Irene; and one grandson, Jason Radach.

Viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.

Smith Funeral Homes Ltd. and Crematory in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
