Thefts of a back yard storage shed, a commercial storage unit and a shoplifting report were investigated by Sunnyside police during the past weekend.
A resident in the 900 block of South First Street reported someone had broken into her shed taking a number of items from the unit. A resident with a storage unit in the 400 block of South Fifth Street also reported his storage unit had been broken into.
Police were called to the 600 block of South Sixth Street to locate a suspect who had reportedly taken alcohol before fleeing the store. The officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
In other weekend activity, police responded to eight reports of suspicious circumstances, all of which proved to be unfounded.
Officers also handled eight animal complaints, one business alarm, two civil matters, three reports of disorderly conduct and made two DUI arrests.
In addition, officers were called to investigate four loud music complaints, three reports of malicious mischief, a juvenile problem and five traffic incidents.
