School board OK’s changes in personnel

GRANDVIEW – The Grandview School Board at its Tuesday meeting approved personnel changes within the Grandview School District.

Barry Meister and Brian Barcello were hired for credit retrieval services at Grandview High School; Cynthia Walker-Galaviz was approved as the yearbook advisor at Grandview Middle School; Angel Torres will be providing after school English Language Learners education at Smith Elementary School; and Linda Rodriguez will tutor English Language Learners at Harriet Thompson Elementary School.

Three classified staff members were also hired Tuesday. Harriet Thompson Elementary School will have a new cashier and kitchen assistant, Ashley Salas. Maria Prieto will serve as an English Language Learners para-educator at GHS, and Alison Kleinow was hired as a para-educator at Harriet Thompson Elementary School.

Brenda Sanchez resigned as an assistant cook at McClure Elementary School and Matt McKinstry resigned as the head GHS boys baseball coach.

Two volunteers were included in the personnel approvals Tuesday. Samantha Schneider will volunteer with the GHS girls basketball team, and Brice Rinehold will be a boys basketball volunteer at GHS.
