City’s mayor authorized to sign loan agreement

GRANDVIEW – The city of Grandview was awarded a drinking water state revolving fund loan in the amount of $909,909 for improvements to Old Inland Empire Highway.

Mayor Norm Childress last week was authorized to sign the loan contract, which has in place an interest rate of 1.5 percent. The loan is to be satisfied in 24 years.

The Grandview City Council authorized the mayor to sign the contract by a 5-0 vote.
