Outlook home struck by gunfire

Yakima County Sheriff deputies are investigating a shooting in the first block of E Street near Outlook that was reported about 4 a.m. this past Saturday morning. Deputies found bullet casings and holes in a house, but have not taken any suspects into custody.

Deputies have also investigated four burglaries in the Lower Valley since last Friday morning. In three incidents, all reported on Friday, the thieves made off with televisions and computers. The incidents were in the 500 block of Snipes Pump Road near Sunnyside, the 2000 block of East Allen Road near Sunnyside and the 4300 block of East Euclid Road near Mabton.

The fourth burglary report came in yesterday afternoon (Sunday) from the 2300 block of South Euclid Road near Grandview. An air rachet was reported missing from that location.

Deputies also investigated a death reported last Friday morning and determined it was the result of natural causes.

Since last Friday morning deputies have also investigated three accident reports, four reports of suspicious activity, an animal problem and an automatic alarm.

In that time deputies also took an informational call, responded to a missing person report, conducted a welfare check and provided an agency assist.
