Mabton police seeking leads in burglary, hit and run

MABTON - Mabton police are seeking leads regarding a burglary reported last Tuesday in the 100 block of Third Avenue.

Taken in the break-in were a flat-screen television and a laptop. The police have no suspects at this time.

Since Nov. 10, Mabton officers have also investigated a report of a hit and run accident in the 300 block of Third Street, which left a trail of carrots all over the roadway. Damaged in the accident was approximately 100 feet of cyclone fencing surrounding a neighborhood day care center. The police are seeking the vehicle involved in the incident.

In other activities since Nov. 10, police have investigated a report of a stolen ladder, a suspicious circumstance, handled a citizen dispute and issued a warning regarding illegal yard waste burning. Police also served an arrest warrant during the past week.
