All the help appreciated at scholarship fundraiser

On behalf of myself and my family, I want to thank everyone for making the Sandra Pascua Filipino Foodfest a successful event. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

With so many people’s assistance it helped us raise more than $2,500 in money and in-kind contributions, and will help provide scholarships to future teachers through the Sunnyside High Dollars for Scholars’ Sandra Lee Pascua Scholarship.

Also, $190 was also donated to the Philippine typhoon relief efforts, and that money will be deposited into the Philippine Super Typhoon Fund at KeyBank.

Bob Swires did a great job with the anthems at last Sunday’s foodfest. The Sunnyside High Dance Team, the Batang Wapato dance team and Phillip Miranda and Northwest Tae Kwon Do were excellent performers, all introduced by Suzie Rohde.

Thanks also to Freddie Delrosario, Didi Cabusao, Lorena Silva, Greg Sotelo, Tiffany Pascua, Monette Shelton, Sue Downing, Donna Harris, Suzie Rohde, Myrt Lang, Heather and Diego Alvarez, Dori Baker, and Rose Tiliano and daughter for making this a successful event. Kudos to the Tri-City Herald, the Daily Sun News, the Grandview Herald, the Prosser Record-Bulletin and the Independent Review for the ads and for coverage on event day.

Thank you to all for being a part of our fundraising effort.
