Colley top forecaster

UCLA and Oregon both losing to Arizona schools were two of the games that stumped practically every entrant in last week’s Lower Valley Merchants Football Forecast Contest. With the Minnesota and Green Bay game ending in a 24-24 tie it left only 15 games to choose from.

After all that, Kristen Colley of Grandview was one of only three entrants who tied with five misses. She came out on top, taking the $50 first-place prize based on her tiebreaker score.

Sunnyside’s Gerald Lewis, the runner-up, will receive a three-month subscription to the Daily Sun News for second place. Coming in a close third and just out of the money was T.J. Aguilar.

This week marks the last week of this year’s 13-week contest. You have one last chance to pick up a cool $50 cash.

Choose the way that works best for you to enter. You can fill out the handy entry blank in yesterday’s Daily Sun News or today’s Sun News Shopper and drop it off at our office at 600 S. Sixth St. in Sunnyside. You may also fax it to 509-837-6397. Many entrants choose to enter online at www.dailysunnews.com, where you can click on the flaming football and fill out and email your entry. Everyone can enter, but you must enter by 4 p.m. this Friday to qualify. Good luck.
