Hands-on science made fun

The popular children’s movie “Despicable Me” was the theme of a Sunnyside High School science camp held Saturday, Nov. 16, in science teacher Joyce Stark’s classroom. Science club officer Edgar Perez was among the club leaders leading elementary school students through hands-on experiments that focused on shrinking moons and evaporating minions, according to Stark. She said the club plans to host another science camp with a Harry Potter theme in January. “We’re just making science fun,” she said.
