Theft reports keep cops busy

Sunnyside police have investigated four theft reports made during the past 24 hours.

Yesterday, police investigated a report of a woman shoplifting diapers and a 12- pack of soda in the 600 block of South Sixth Street. They also investigated a shoplifting report in the 2600 block of East Lincoln Avenue. No report was given regarding any stolen items at that location.

Sunnyside officers also investigated a report of a stolen camera taken from a private residence in the 800 block of South Fourth Street. The police have no suspects at this time regarding the missing camera. A report of a stolen bicycle in the 1500 block of South Sixth Street proved unfounded.

In other activity during the past 24 hours, Sunnyside police responded to four animal complaints, one domestic complaint, one harassment complaint, four traffic problems and three cases of suspicious circumstances.

Officers also provided assistance to three citizens.
