Beer & cheese class at YVCC G’view campus

GRANDVIEW - The Grandview campus of Yakima Valley Community College is hosting Beer & Cheese 101 as part of the vineyard and winery program’s offerings. The program is taught at the college’s Workforce Education Center, located at 114 Grandridge Ave. in Grandview.

The Beer & Cheese 101 class will take place on Friday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the cost of $25 per person.

Presenting the class will be Rachel Mercer.

Mercer will guide students on a tasting of beer and cheese.

Learn some of the types of cheeses, how they are made and the difference between a lager, an IPA and a stout.

After learning some simple tricks to make these incredible pairings, students will be able to throw their own beer and cheese tasting party.

Those attending the class must be 21 or older.
