MHS Lady Vikings no match for Rangers

Girls Prep Volleyball

NACHES – The Mabton Lady Vikings were unable to defeat the Naches Valley Rangers last night, losing in three sets, 25-3, 25-8, 25-10.

“The girls did well despite the score,” said Coach Jennifer Spicer.

In the second set Mabton took an 8-4 lead, but couldn’t hold onto it.

“Naches came back and out-served us,” said Spicer. “We rallied well with them, but just couldn’t finish. Naches is a solid team.”

Lady Vike Jesenia Meza tallied three kills at the net in the match.

Mabton (1-8, 1-9) has a week to practice for its next match in Cle Elum.

“I hope we can come out and play like I know we can,” said Spicer.
