Prayer meeting over the airwaves coming to S’side

Sunnyside residents are being given an opportunity to participate in an international prayercast on Friday, Oct. 18, thanks to the efforts of Sunnyside Transformation – Yakima Valley.

The three-hour program originating in Colorado Springs, Colo. will be simultaneously broadcasted over a big screen at the Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church, 700 N. 16th St., Sunnyside. The prayercast will be held from 4 to 7 p.m.

The program will feature such Christian notables as Beth Moore, Ravi Zacharias, David Jeremiah, Bruce Wilkinson, Shirley Dobson and Joni Earecksen Tada.

“We are inviting the entire community, hoping that many can come and be a part of this event,” said Sarahi Bravo of Sunnyside Transformation – Yakima Valley.

She described the event as a live prayer meeting in which believers from all over the nation and the world will be in prayer.

“We are inviting community members to come and pray for the community, nation and the world,” said Bravo.

Bravo said the Sunnyside group is putting this event together as a “…a part of our prayer evangelism effort- Loving Sunnyside Initiative.”

There is no charge to attend.
