Two thefts, a burglary top police log

Reports of stolen shoes, stolen tools and a home break-in were investigated by Sunnyside police during the past 24 hours.

Sunnyside police took a report from a business in the 2000 block of Yakima Valley Highway late Monday afternoon, where store employees reported a theft of shoes. Officers also were called to investigate the theft of a number of Craftsman tools and aluminum cans from the 700 block of 13th Street, which may have been taken sometime yesterday afternoon.

A resident in the 1600 block of Saul Road reported that her home had been broken into, but no other details were available.

Sunnyside officers also responded to four animal complaints, five reports of suspicious circumstances, two business alarms, one report of custodial interference, one disorderly conduct, one report of DUI, a juvenile problem complaint, one report of loud music and four traffic incidents.

Police also served three arrest warrants, provided three citizen assists, took one informational call and made three welfare checks during the past 24- hour period.
