Mabton quarterback Roy Zavala runs the ball in the opening quarter of last Friday’s game against Waitsburg-Prescott. He rushed for 64 yards, completed 11-of-25 passes for 150 yards but was intercepted four times. Turnovers cost the Vikings, who lost 46-6 to the visiting Cardinals. Mabton’s Edgar Diaz recorded four catches for 57 yards, Alex Espinoza had three catches for 16 yards and Luis Garza scored the lone touchdown for the Vikings. This coming Friday the Vikings (1-6) will travel to Connell to compete against Liberty High School.
