Giving parents a voice

GRANDVIEW – The state education ombudsman and League of Education Voters will be holding a workshop for parents on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grandview Middle School (1401 W. Second St.).

At the workshop, called “Finding Your Voice”, parents can learn about public school systems in Washington state, how to be partners in the education process and how to speak up for their children in a way that will get results.

The training is free and includes lunch, but space is limited. Parents can register online by visiting or can call Micaela Razo at 509-952-4533 for more information.
