Bickleton soph finishes second at Granger meet

GRANGER- It was a good, fast race for Bickleton High School sophomore Troy Roberts, who finished second in Thursday’s SCAC League cross-country meet held on the Granger course.

His teammate, Andrew Gannon, also a sophomore, finished seventh in the 2.9- mile race at Hisey Park.

“All six of our runners competed yesterday, and we’re all looking forward to competing at Districts next week,” said Bickleton Coach Chase Rost, who was pleased with his team’s efforts.

“It’s a pretty fast course,” Rost said of the Granger course.

“I’m optimist we’ll do well at Districts and will be able to compete at State as a team,” he added.

Rost said Districts competition will be held in Wenatchee.

The Bickleton runners’ times from the Granger meet were unavailable.
