House hit with opposing NFL colors in graffiti incident

A house featured on the pages of the Daily Sun News last week was vandalized sometime during the past 24 hours, according to a Sunnyside police report.

The house, painted in Seattle Seahawk colors, in the 500 block of South 15th Street was hit with dark red and gold colors of the San Francisco ‘49ers logo, according to the report.

Police are seeking suspects.

Police also responded to a report of a hit and run yesterday morning about 8:14 a.m. Officers discovered a pedestrian had been injured the previous day (Monday) after school near the intersection of Zillah Drive and East Edison Avenue. The victim reported he had been hit by a vehicle described as a Toyota 4-runner. The driver and vehicle involved are being sought in connection with the accident. It is not known how badly the pedestrian was injured.

In other activity reported to police during the past 24 hours there were three reports of vandalism, four animal complaints, two reports of theft, two parking problems and one report of trespassing.

Sunnyside officers also provided one agency assist, served two arrest warrants, took a report on found property and answered one informational call.
