Chevy stolen from car lot

Sunnyside police are in-vestigating a report of a car stolen from a sales lot on Allen Road.

Wednesday morning, a C Speck Motors employee reported that a 2012 silver Chevy Cruz was missing from the lot. Apparently, the car had been missing for two weeks and the employee only recently came to the conclusion it may have been stolen.

Officers are also investi-gating a report of a missing briefcase. The item was re-portedly last seen on Tuesday in the victim’s car, which reportedly was parked in the 2600 block of East Lincoln Avenue.

Sunnyside officers also investigated two reports of shoplifting at two different Sunnyside businesses. A man and a woman were detained in connection with the theft reports.

In other activity during the past 24 hours, police re-sponded to five animal complaints, four suspicious circumstance reports, three juvenile complaints and made one traffic stop.

Officers also served three arrest warrants, provided two agency assists, made two welfare checks and han-dled six informational calls.
