Schools in Grandview are opening their doors to parents wanting to know what is happening in the classroom. This past Tuesday Compass High School held its annual open house for parents. In the photo at left, Principal Brian Anderson talks to parents about the expectations to succeed and introduces staff to those attending the event. Teacher Tamara Steen (center) talks with Nicole and Dorothy Magana, Frankie Ochoa and Santino Rodriguez about classes she teaches. Grandview’s elementary schools will host open house events in the next two weeks. Harriet Thompson will have its open house at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, McClure Elementary School parents will be attending an open house at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, and on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6:30 p.m. there will be an open house at Smith Elementary School.
