Sunnyside High School continues its tradition with several homecoming events planned for next week.
The boys will turn out on Monday, Sept. 30, for the annual macho man volleyball tournament.
Boys from each of the classes will compete to determine bragging rights for this year. The first match begins at 7:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the girls soccer team hosts Eastmont at Clem Senn Field. They take to the pitch at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, Oct. 2, there will be the 17th annual powder puff football game, pitting the senior and junior classes against one another. The action begins at 7 p.m. Last year, said SHS Pep Club Advisor Pete Marquez, there were more than 1,500 members of the community in attendance.
The Lady Grizzly volleyball team hosts Davis on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
The Yakima Valley’s largest pep assembly will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, during school hours.
That night, the Grizzly varsity football team will square off on its home turf against Hanford at 7 p.m.
