Lady Vikings still hunting for first win

MABTON – Despite moments of intensity, the Mabton Lady Vikings lost their match against Cle Elum in three sets last night, 25-20, 25-18, 25-16.

Naida Gusby led Mabton in serving, going 12-for-13 from the line. Gusby also provided the Lady Vikings with 14 assists and dug up the ball five times to keep play alive.

Alyssa Nash also had five digs for Mabton. She went 7-for-9 from the service line and spiked the ball for seven kills on the night.

Risa Navarro put in a 7-for-8 serving performance and added three kills to the Mabton total.

Lady Viking Angela Martinez was 5-for-5 serving and contributed nine perfect passes and five digs to the Mabton efforts. Yesenia Ramos added another five kills for the Lady Vikings.

Mabton (0-3, 0-4) will be traveling to Goldendale for its next match tomorrow night, Sept. 26.
