Lady Vikings lose on the road

GOLDENDALE – The Mabton Lady Vikings had some canine trouble while visiting Goldendale last night, losing to the host Timberwolves in three sets, 25-19, 25-9, 25-16.

“The first game the girls started off awesome,” said Mabton Coach Jennifer Spicer. “But we couldn't keep up with their serving.”

Lady Viking Naida Gusby provided nine assists and made a kill in the game. Teammate Alyssa Nash slammed six kills.

“We are improving,” said Spicer. “And not quite halfway (through the season) so we can only get better.”

Mabton (0-4, 0-5) will be hosting LaSalle next Tuesday, Oct. 1.
