Llamas on the lam

A couple of loose llamas made the Sunnyside police report yesterday when they were reported wandering around in the area near the Valley Racquet and Fitness Club on Scoon Road.

The llama report was one of four animal complaints made to police Tuesday. The other reports concerned loose and barking dogs.

Police also investigated three non-injury accidents during the past 24 hours. No damages were reported, while citations for following too closely and driving without a valid license were issued.

In other activity, police investigated a report of stolen scrap metal from the 1600 block of North Eastway Drive, a domestic violence incident in the 500 block of Cemetery Road, in which one person was arrested, three suspicious circumstances, a malicious mischief report from the 400 block of South 13th Street, one noise complaint, an automatic alarm report and a harassment complaint between a mother and son.

Since Tuesday morning, officers also provided two agency assists, served three court orders, served one arrest warrant, fielded three informational calls and made three welfare checks.
