Winery deal approved

Commissioners last night agreed to a one-time arrangement with Vitis Cellars to discharge 11,000 gallons of old wine into the port’s industrial wastewater treatment system.

Discussion on the matter led commissioners to charge a minimum of $3,500 for the service or 130 percent of what it charges contract-based customers, whichever is greater.
