Lower Valley students earn honors at YVCC

YAKIMA – Yakima Valley Community College has released the names of all students who achieved honor roll status on the Dean’s List for winter quarter 2014.

To receive the Dean’s List designation, a student must have earned a quarterly grade point average between 3.40 and 3.84 and taken a minimum of 12 graded credits during the quarter.

Students from Grandview who earned spots on the Dean’s List were Marissa Aguilar, Anjhellica Ampil, Molly Beghtol, April Carrillo, Olga Cuevas, Patricia Escobar, Candida Fonseca, Serapio Garcia Jr, Tanya Gomez, John Hammers, Josie Harrington, Kaeli Johnny, Cristina Ledesma, Christian Lopez, Cesar Mejia, Anthony Munoz, Monica Munoz, Ismael Ocampo, Martha Rivas, Zachary Salinas, Lori Serl and Ashley Storms.

Elizabeth Caballero, Omar Cardoza, Stephanie DeLeon, Keila Diaz, Ashley Heilman and Sophia Ochoa of Granger also made the list.

From Mabton, Roman Chavez, Angel Reyna and Karina Velasco earned the honor.

Amber Cornwell, Carina Ocampo, Sylvia Romero and Martin Saldana of Outlook were also on the list.

Students from Prosser on the list were Jose Barocio, Mikella Borstad, Josie Fool, Sandra Gonzalez, Ashlee Morgan, Jensena Newhouse and Kristine Tolle.

Sunnyside students who made the Dean’s List for winter quarter were Eduardo Castro, Jessica Cortez, Ana Duran, Ana Frias, Veronica Gamez, Andrea Gatica, Jasmine Gonzalez, Marlene Magana, Bonnie Mares, Madison Marquez, Eluterio Munguia, Alexis Osuna, Perla Perez, Michael Peterson, Hannah Pettey and Jose Torres.
