Twin bill defeats

Grandview fastpitch softball pitcher Sadie Ross throws a strike in last night’s twin bill against West Valley. The Rams blanked the Lady ‘Hounds 24-0 in Thursday’s opener. In the nightcap the Rams had a 4-run lead at the top of the seventh inning and ended the game with a 20-7 victory. Ross was 1-for-2 hitting in the opener, 2-for-4 with two runs in the second game. Grandview’s Brieseda Ramos hit 1-of-3 in the opener, 2-of-4 in the nightcap. Esmeralda Munos of the Lady ‘Hounds connected with the ball two times in the opening game and struck a double. She scored two runs in the second game and was 2-for-4 hitting. Also collecting a hit in the opening game were Keanna Maki and Griselda Vazquez. Scoring a run each in the nightcap were Victoria and Neira Martinez. Grandview (0-7) will host Selah for another twin bill next Tuesday, April 15.
