Raymond Eugene Roderick

OBITUARY

Raymond Eugene Roderick, 76, of Kennewick passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Colonial House in Kennewick.

He was born in Sunnyside to Harold and Doris Roderick. He was the oldest of five children.

Raymond graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1956.

He was a member of the First Brethren Church.

As a young man, he worked for the Valley Irrigation District until he was called to serve his country in the Berlin Crisis at Germany. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Army.

Through his life Ray worked for different local farmers in Sunnyside until he retired.

He is survived by his daughter, Della (Mark) Schaefer; son, Robert (Becca) Roderick; stepson, Ben Tarango; several grandchildren; his brother, Warren (Telly) Roderick; and three sisters, Leta (Gil) Langholff, Barbara (Larry) Barkey and DiAnn (Bernie) Schutt.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Beall Roderick; and his parents, Harold and Doris Roderick.

Graveside internment services will be conducted Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at 10 a.m.

Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in care of arrangements.
