Couple faces DUI, endangerment charges

GRANDVIEW – Early this morning (Thursday) officers in Grandview stopped a car near the intersection of South Euclid and Apricot roads. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle without an interlock.

Police say the suspect had his three children in the vehicle at the time of the stop, about 2:30 a.m. According to police, the suspect’s spouse had dropped him off to pick up the car and was also arrested on charges of aiding and abetting a DUI. Both suspects were also charged with three counts of reckless endangerment.

Also this morning, police reported finding graffiti in an alley in the 300 block of Avenue C.

Yesterday (Wednesday) Grandview police investigated a vehicle prowl reported in the 200 block of Avenue E. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle.

Yesterday officers also handled two reports of animal problems, an automatic alarm, a noise complaint, two reports of juvenile problems and three reports of suspicious activity.

In that time police also served a court order, conducted three welfare checks and provided two agency assists.
