Board approves staff changes

GRANDVIEW – Last Monday night the Grandview School Board of Directors approved a number of personnel changes, including a request for a leave of absence from second grade teacher Juana Barcenas of Smith Elementary School.

The board also approved the letters of resignation from Clovis Schut, a McClure Elementary School teacher, McClure Elementary and Julie Durado-Herel a Harriet Thompson Elementary School teacher.

The board further approved the hiring of Adrian Morales as a Grandview High School assistant soccer coach.

In other business the board approved a travel request from Compass High School teacher Kim Gregory to take Compass students on a year-end trip to Athol, Idaho on June 2.

A request from Grandview High School agriculture instructor Ryan Maiden to attend a CASE leader teacher orientation also received board approval last Monday. Maiden will travel to Denver, Colo., on Friday, April 25, for the three-day training.
