This coming Saturday, April 26, the Sunnyside Historical Museum will host its first-ever spring open house.
Liz Martinez, a volunteer at the museum, said organizers are hoping to make the open house an annual event.
The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring treats for all to enjoy.
The Lower Valley Dairy Women’s Association will be serving free ice cream, and entertainment will be provided from 2 to 3 p.m. by local bluegrass artists Flat Possum Pickers.
Tour the museum and see Sunnyside’s heritage on display through the new vintage hat collection and medical displays, courtesy of local families.
Many of the Sunnyside Historical Museum’s exhibits have been updated for the enjoyment of the community.
On-site will be antique farm equipment, which will be displayed outside on the date of the open house only. The farm equipment showcases Sunnyside’s agricultural history, courtesy of local collectors.
The Sunnyside Historical Museum’s regular hours are Thursday through Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The museum is located at 704 S. Fourth St.
