Helping hands

The Sunnyside Law and Justice Center was the site last Saturday of a ‘shred and med’ event offering safe, free disposal of documents and unused medications. Pictured with Loren Belton of Crime Stoppers (R) are Sunnyside Police Explorers (L-R) Ariel Gurrola, Rigo Guerrero and Tyler Hunsaker. Belton, Toppenish’s mayor, said about 1,200 lbs. of personal documents were dropped off for shredding and another 60 lbs. of medications were brought to the site.
