Sunnyside woman cited in collision in Richland yesterday

RICHLAND - Gillermina D. Rodriguez, 51, of Sunnyside was charged with driving at a speed too fast for conditions yesterday, Sunday, leading to a two-car collision on SR 240 in Richland.

That’s according to the Washington State Patrol, which reports Rodriguez failed to slow her 1989 Toyota Camry when a 2004 Dodge Neon in front of her driven by Vanessa L. Knight, 37, of Benton City slowed down for a dog in the roadway.

Neither driver was injured in the resulting accident. Troopers noted that Andrea R. Rodriguez, 26, of Grandview was a passenger in the Camry and was transported to Kadlec Hospital for observation.
