Sunnyside High School bowler Elexis Lepe (above) concentrates on her delivery yesterday during the annual staff versus girls bowling team contest. The Sunnyside High School staff claimed victory at the fifth annual event, via a two-game score of 1216-1215. The Monday afternoon match-up, held at Sunnyside’s Valley Lanes, was said to be a ‘very competitive’ match-up between staff and the girls bowling team. High games for the staff were claimed by Holly Ohler and Angel Carrizales with scores of 155 each. At left, Sunnyside High School Principal Ryan Maxwell eyes his target en route to tossing a 144. High score for the SHS girls went to Megan Kinney with a 149 game. Today, the Lady Grizzlies will travel to Moses Lake for a league match and will be back at home on Thursday against Eisenhower High School, according to bowling coach Tina Peabody.
