Non-injury vehicle accidents keep Sunnyside police busy

Sunnyside police had a full weekend of investigating a number of non-injury accidents.

Police responded to a report of a two-car collision at the intersection of South Sixth Street and East Edison Avenue last Friday afternoon. No injuries were reported.

Officers also investigated a report of a one-car accident in the 200 block of South 11th Street. No injuries or damage to the vehicle were reported. Officers also responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident in the 100 block of Parkland Drive, last Friday.

Police also investigated a report of a hit and run accident in the 600 block of South Fourth Street, reported last Friday afternoon. No one was injured in the accident, according to the report.

Police also investigated a report of a vehicle theft reported last Friday from the 1100 block of Tacoma Avenue. Taken was a 2006 Cadillac. No other information was available.

In other activity, police investigated eight automatic alarms, four animal complaints, one assault, two reports of graffiti, one report of fireworks, nine reports of suspicious circumstances and one report of a violation of a no-contact order.

Police also provided three agency assists, provided three citizen assists, handled 10 informational calls and made three welfare checks.
