Quilters share favorite patterns

Sandra Smart of College Place displays a small wall quilt, which she made using hand crocheted snowflakes. The wall quilt, entitled “Remembering Emily,” is a sample of the work often shared at Horizon Quilters Unlimited of Yakima Valley meetings. The group will next meet Tuesday, Feb. 11, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church hall, 300 S. Euclid Rd., Grandview. A social hour will be held at 9 a.m., followed by the meeting at 9:30 a.m. A free pattern of the month will be given out, and time will be given for show and tell projects. There will also be a presentation by Mona Margetts of Prosser. She will be demonstrating how to make a square yo yo quilt. A potluck lunch is also planned.
