Man arrested on charges of threatening witness

GRANDVIEW – Police in Grandview arrested a man last Friday after he allegedly threatened a witness in an earlier case. The man will be arraigned in Yakima County Superior Court on charges of intimidating a witness, according to Grandview police.

Last Friday police also received a report of identity theft. The case is under investigation.

Over the weekend Grandview officers were kept very busy with 10 reports of traffic hazards, two parking problems, five requests for assistance from citizens and an accident.

Since Friday morning police have also handled two reports of juvenile problems, three reports of animal problems, two automatic alarms, three domestic calls, a report of an unwanted guest, a report of unsecure premises, two welfare checks, a report of suspicious activity and four agency assists.
