Sunnyside police have busy day

Sunnyside police have been busy since yesterday (Wednesday) with a number of calls.

Officers investigated two thefts yesterday, including a shoplifting incident at Wal-Mart and a stolen iPod in the 800 block of South 16th Street.

A resident in the 800 block of East South Hill Road reported a weapon offense. She said her juvenile son was threatened by two other juveniles with a knife following a snowball fight.

Police, too, investigated a complaint in the 700 block of Bagley Drive. A resident there reported witnessing two individuals smoking marijuana in front of an apartment complex.

Sunnyside police have also since yesterday responded to two animal complaints, a juvenile problem, a loud music call, three non-injury traffic mishaps, six suspicious activity calls and three traffic stops.

Officers, too, provided three welfare checks, four agency assists and five citizen assists, as well as served an arrest warrant and fielded three informational calls.
