Deputies look for burglars

Yakima County Sheriff deputies are investigating two burglaries that happened over the holiday weekend.

A report came in last Friday morning from the 9200 block of Emerald Road near Sunnyside of tools stolen from a residence. Sunday morning deputies received a report of electronics stolen from a home in the 2300 block of Van Belle Road near Outlook.

Deputies are also investigating a report of a John Deere mower stolen from property near the intersection of Scoon and Van Belle roads Saturday afternoon.

Since last Friday morning deputies have also handled two theft reports, a report of an animal problem, a report of a court order violation, three reports of suspicious activity, three traffic incidents, two domestic calls, five automatic alarms, a report of shots fired that turned out to be unfounded, a report of threats, a runaway juvenile report, two harassment reports and a report of malicious mischief.

In that time deputies also provided an agency assist, conducted two welfare checks and made an arrest of a person wanted by authorities.
