Ready for picnic weather

A senior project has earned Sunnyside High School senior Felipe Rivera the heartfelt appreciation of Sun Terrace Retirement and Assisted Living Community residents in Sunnyside. The teen recently constructed and donated a sturdy picnic table to the facility. Here, he is surrounded by the residents who are looking forward to using the table in warmer weather. Rivera said the project cost about $110 and took four weeks to complete. Pictured are (L-R) Norma Sisson, Frances Potts, Rene Van Oostrum, Ruth Stark, Cecil Waggner, Rivera, Deena Phillips, Bob Kelley and Annie Grimmius.
